November, 2024 – The Consulate General of Panama in Kobe, together with the SEGUMAR Imabari office, conducted a successful working tour during the month of November, visiting important maritime companies in the cities of Kobe, Osaka and Ehime Prefecture. The main objective of this mission was to officially introduce the new Consul General of Panama, Alejandro de León, and to strengthen cooperation ties in the maritime sector between Panama and Western Japan.
During the visits, Panama’s commitment to the development of the global maritime industry was highlighted, and as part of the gestures of gratitude and friendship, the presidents of the maritime companies were presented with a pin with the flags of Japan and Panama. This detail symbolizes the loyalty and commitment of the Japanese companies that have chosen the Panamanian flag as their main flag of registry, highlighting Japan as the number one user of the Panamanian registry.
The working tour is one more step towards the consolidation of maritime cooperation and the strengthening of the ties of friendship between both countries, within the framework of the 120 years of diplomatic relations between Panama and Japan.
The Consulate General of Panama in Kobe reinforces its commitment to the Japanese maritime industry and Panamanian registry.
