Kobe, Japan – November 14, 2024 – The SEGUMAR Imabari Office, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Panama in Kobe, successfully organized the seminar entitled “Statutory Certificates Issued by the Panama Maritime Authority and their Requirements”. The event brought together more than 40 participants, including shipowners and ship operators, who gathered to learn about the key aspects of the certificates issued by the Panama Maritime Authority.
During the seminar, the essential requirements of the certificates, which are crucial to ensure compliance with international regulations by vessels sailing under the Panamanian flag, were addressed. These certificates are fundamental to avoid operational delays and costly penalties, ensuring that maritime operations comply with the highest international standards established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Likewise, the Director General of Merchant Marine of the Panama Maritime Authority, Ramón Franco, gave a speech in which he reiterated the country’s commitment to maritime safety and the continuous improvement of the regulatory framework for vessels operating under the Panamanian flag.
