Panama participates in naming ceremony and delivery of Panamanian-flagged vessel in Imazo

The Panamanian delegation was led by the Minister and Administrator of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), Luis Roquebert, who highlighted the importance of this new ship within the global fleet and reaffirmed the Panamanian registry’s commitment to global maritime safety, efficiency, and competitiveness.

Minister Roquebert was accompanied by the Director General of the Merchant Marine, Ramón Franco; the Consul General of Panama in Kobe, Alejandro De León; Vice Consul Any Lam Chong; and the Head of the Segumar Office in Imabari, Nelson Agrazal, who participated in the official delivery ceremonies and toured the container ship’s facilities together with representatives of the shipping company and Japanese port authorities.

During the ceremony, the authorities highlighted the strong relationship between the Panama Ship Registry and the Japanese maritime industry, as well as the continued confidence of Japanese shipping companies in operating their vessels under the Panamanian flag, the largest in the world.
