The Consul General of the Republic of Panama, Mr. Víctor J. Almengor C., held a meeting with the new Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for the Kansai Area, His Excellency Tsutomu Himeno.

At the meeting, various aspects of Panama’s academic and cultural activities in the Kansai area were discussed, including the possibility of reconsidering the Republic of Panama’s participation in the Osaka 2025 World Expo. In this regard, the Consul General indicated that, in view of the fact that Panama has finally been able to carry out an effective control of the pandemic, he would be willing to take up this issue again with the Government of Panama in order to provide a positive confirmation on Panama’s future participation in the World Fair of 2025.
