27/11/2023. Last week a lunch meeting was held between the Panamanian investment agency called “Pro Panama” and the Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI).

The General Administrator of PROPANAMA, H.E. Carmen Gisela Vergara participated virtually and explained the economic features and advantages of our country which had made it a suitable place for many regional facilities of some of the major Japanese multinational companies.

At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Kimiko Itoh, delivered some closing remarks on behalf of KCCI highlighting the importance of the meeting and hoping to increase the relationship between Kobe and the Republic of Panama.

Furthermore, the Consul General, Mr. Victor Almengor expressed his appreciation to KCCI, its members and its staff for also serving as co-hosts of this first meeting that served to introduce Panama to the commercial and industrial community of the City of Kobe.
