The General Consulate of the Republic of Panama in Kobe organized a dinner event in commemoration of the 46th anniversary of the sister city agreement between Panama City and Imabari city.
The event started with a promotional video from the Panama Maritime Authority praising the relationship between Panama and Imabari.
Afterwards, the Consul General of Panama in Kobe, Mr. Victor Almengor gave a welcome speech about the cultural and business relationship between both cities including the technical assistance provided by the maritime office in Imabari.
Furthermore, H.E. Carlos Pere, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama in Japan delivered a main speech highlighting the future cooperation between Panama and Imabari along with an invitation to the shipping community of Imabari to visit Panama city within the near future.
The Kampai speech was made by Mayor Shigeki Tokunaga who expressed his happiness for the increasing cooperation between Panama and the people of Imabari including the technical cooperation provided by the Panamanian Maritime Authority to the shipping community of Imabari city.
The dinner had participation of more than 75 representatives of shipping companies, business corporations and cultural organizations of Imabari city.
