An exhibition was inaugurated describing the history of Panama and its relationship with the city of Kobe in English and Japanese language.
The inauguration ceremony was held with the presence of more than 15 representatives of shipping companies along with the Mayor of Kobe city, H.S. Kizo Hisamoto, who referred to the importance of the Consulate General of Panama for the city of Kobe and for the maritime community of this city. The Consul General then detailed the progress that has been made in terms of the relationship with the city of Kobe, highlighting the recent maritime agreement between the port of Kobe and the ports of Panama signed in March 2023.
The 20 posters recounting the history of Panama and the cultural exchange between Panama and Japan, in both English and Japanese languages, were exhibited for 3 weeks on the ground floor of the Mayor’s City Hall building within the main lobby. During the exhibition, many citizens of Kobe were able to appreciate different parts of the history of Panama, as well as important facts and the symbols of Panama.
