The Consul General of the Republic of Panama, Mr. Victor Almengor, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Daisaku Kadokawa, Mayor of Kyoto.

At the meeting the Mayor of Kyoto praised the importance of Panama to Japan and also introduced to the Consul General the concept of the League of historical cities for which the Mayor expressed the interest of the league to have one or some cities of Panama included within the list.

By his side, Mr. Almengor expressed the planned interaction of Panama to commence business, academic and cultural interaction with several corporations, organizations and universities located in Kyoto for which both parties agreed to collaborate in order to develop these future interactions between Panama and the citizens of Kyoto.
